In honor of my mother, and all the great moms out there, I finally took that great advice all good moms give their children.

I cleaned my plate, realizing there ARE starving children in Africa.  I stopped making that face, knowing it could stay that way.  I washed behind my ears.  I walked with the scissors.  I put on a sweater, so you wouldn't be cold.  I settled down and went to sleep at my bedtime.  I turned the music down so I wouldn't go deaf.  I ate all my vegetables.  I didn't jump off the cliff, even though everyone else was doing it.  I put down the stray animal (who knows WHERE it's been?).  I put on clean underwear, just in case I'm in an accident.  I didn't say anything, since I couldn't say something nice.  I grew into my clothes.  I kept my elbows off the table.  I didn't make you "come in there".  I waited till my father came home.  I found something to cry about.  I cleaned my room.  I grew a money tree.  I got my own house, so I made my own rules.  I stopped trying to c...
